September 2006 Sunflowers

I am here AM, doing fine. Just submerged with work and having no time for myself or for anything. The first thing Aparna asks me these days after reaching home, do you have to work today mommy? I end up playing with her and spending time with her, which makes me sit and work after 9pm everyday.

Aparna has grown up so much and her vocab and imagination WOWs me lot of times these days. Her recent conversation with me after reading the book "very hungry caterpillar" yesterday..

Me: A, when you grow up what would you like to be?

A: A big fat caterpillar. Then...a beautiful butterfly

Me: Is it, so are you going to fly in the sky?

A: No, we can't fly in the sky

Me: Why do you think so..

A: After thinking for a while..Because "We don't have wings to fly"

I hope everything is going fine with SFs and Moms..Hopefully work should ease up in a month. Fingers crossed.

Since, i started the post i guess i need to update on Ryan. We are doing well, he is going to preschool 2x a week and loves it. He seems to get in trouble for something so we are always having talks with him that he needs to listen to his teachers and do what they ask. He started circle time by sitting in a chair outside the circle but have finally graduated to sitting on the carpet with in a week or so, then we had not wanting to read during reading time but have finally mastered that as well. Silly boy, he loves to read at home so couldn't understand why he did not want to read there. He has a best friend Quinn which is so cute to watch him with him. Verbally he has just bloomed, you can understand pretty much all he says and his sentences are really complexed.

I am crazy having 3 kids in school now, I am always running somewhere. I am at the girls school 2 days a week and the other three are spent with my little man. Life is good for the most part but I really over my smart mouth little boy. I don't know what is worse 2's or 3's but right now they are equal.
