Do you have plans? Costumes picked out? traditions you want to share?

We have nothing planned and no costumes picked out. We are just going week by week it seems these days. Planning that far in advanced seems so hard right now! Not to mention that this time of year is expensive anyways with back to school and scouts and such. I am trying to think ahead, but it just isn't working. My mind is so distracted with the here and now with what's going on at home. September has just flown by so fast!

we had a skeleton sleeper since she was just 2 weeks old. This year, I wanted to do more, but DH hasn't ever said yes to any of the costume ideas I've had. and we've missed all the good costumes at Costco...I'd love her to be a little lady bug or the super cute peacock (so wrong...she'd obviously be a peahen) but I also don't want to spend a ton and I think the latter that I saw was like 70 bucks. ummm, no.

I'm REALLY hoping she grows to love halloween as I always have. the last time I went door to door was 8th grade :) Someone was telling me they gave out full size candy bars to ANYONE who came to their door in costume. I LOVE IT!

I know, costumes can be so expensive! I'm hoping to recycle a couple of ours this year. Hmmm, could I pass as a preggo kitty and still be cute? Or is that just bad? Brennan should be able to fit into this cute tiger costume we had for Matthew when he was 2. Matthew might be convinced to go as one of Stephen's old costumes. As for Stephen, I don't know if he'll fit into anything we already have. We'll see.

I was never allowed to really enjoy Halloween as a kid. It was an EVIL holiday to my family. I think that's why I enjoy it so much now. I'm making up for all the years I didn't get to enjoy it as a kid :). I never went trick or treating until I had a step daughter to go with. Pretty sad huh?

we always celebrated pretty good. my mom had made us all (I have two sisters) costumes so there were three princess costumes, one witch, one clown, and then she did dance, ballet and whatnot and so we had all those outfits to dress up in. but in 8th grade, we had these antique band sweaters that we wore for pep band and they were AWESOME so we dressed up in those and got as much candy as we could! LOL and then I had a super cool halloween party in high school complete with scavenger hunt around the neighborhood. We used to have friends that threw HUGE parties each year, but lives change, ya know?

This year Jilian's going to be a dog (my aunt's dog [an english setter..although she looks like a dalmation] to be exact)..last year she was a black cat so she decided to be a dog this year...my mom made her cat costume and is making her dog costume this year..she's already made the hat and we have the fur we just need to measure her

Emma's going to be a bumble bee..it's actually Jilian's first costume! I LOVED the costume and I always wanted to use it again so I'm glad that I'm getting use out of it!

As far as traditions, we don't really have any..usually all the kids in the family get together and go trick or treating BUT with us moving to CT we're going to go trick or treating here..should be fun I mean it's military housing so there are houses and kids EVERYWHERE. Although now that I think about it she'll (Jilian) probably do a little bit of trick or treating but mostly want to stay here and hand out candy..she's not a big candy kid and she likes to see everyone's costumes...I think it was two years ago that I had to work on halloween so my mom and her husband took her out and she mostly stayed home and handed out candy and i guess was telling the kids to give her a spin so she could see the whole thing..she's so cute! :O)  DH will be out to sea so it'll just be the girls and I :o(
