We're carving our pumpkins this weekend. Matthew went to a cub scout event and then DH took all the boys to a party today so I could stay home and rest. I still feel really sick despite all of the antibiotics and stuff. Tomorrow we'll probably see grandma. We haven't be able to go over as much lately with everyone being sick and all. That's pretty much all we have planned.

I took Ryan to Boo at the Zoo this morning. We got there about 20 minutes after it opened, and it was fairly crowded. The whole crown went to the right, so we went to the left. Half of the zoo was not crowded and there were no lines to get candy. We saw the new baby rhino. He was super cute! When we left, there were soooo many people. There wasn't any more parking at the zoo, and people were lined up on the street about 2 miles down the road. The rest of the day has been spent unwinding from this morning's festivities. We're about to go to dinner with DH's cousin's wife and their son at IHOP.

Tomorrow is Open House at our church. I think there is a luncheon following the service (I could be wrong, and it's okay if I am), then is Trunk or Treat at 3:00 at the church, then a neighborhood Halloween party at 5:00, then DH's cousin's wife invited us to their church's Fall Fest at 5:30. So tomorrow will be a super busy day!!!

well, the in-laws were here this weekend so I can tell you what all we did.

Friday DH took off work, but it was crummy out, so they just hung out at home, except for right when I was to get home from work, they decided it was time for a walk....with 30MPH wind gusts....Ruby was happy to see me and they really didn't make it very far anyway.

Saturday, Ruby's rash flared up again, so DH and I hit the drugstore while waiting for our doc to respond to our email. While there, we got seasonal flu shots. I guess I never knew DH didn't like shots so much. not that I love them, but he was practically scared. Ended up not even feeling it, so it worked out. Then we got home and got Ruby all dressed up in her punkin suit for the Halloween party. It was a good time, saw a lot of friends. when we got home, I fed Ruby and then we both sacked out for a nice long nap, which I got made fun of by my MIL later...she thought a nap at 4:30 would equal both of us being out for the night!??!?!?!? Ruby OFTEN takes naps when we get home from daycare and that's 6pm. then she's up for a couple of hours and then goes to be at 9pm....and while I'm sure there have been times when I've gone to be around 6 or 7 thinking it was just a nap and woken up at 2am and realized otherwise, NEVER at 4:30.

So after that, we went to dinner as a group and then DH and I got them settled in with Ruby and he and I went for dessert. They were bugging us the whole time to watch her alone...I dunno, when I'm pumping in the bedroom and DH is on his computer, is it that much different? Either way, we had a nice time out alone. went to this swanky new steak restaurant, just in the bar, we were WAY underdressed! and had superior service from the bartender and awesome drinks and sweets! We then had to check out the rest of the restaurant...now we just have to save our pennies, and dimes and fins....it'll be AT LEAST $200 for the two of us if we have drinks and sweets....but oh, it will be worth it. I mean, after eating so much at dinner and THEN having dessert, you could just smell the steak in the dining room and all of the sudden I was hungry again! of course, I woke up at 2am with an upset tummy....and I was nauseated most of Sunday too....but I reckon that's because I had a few sips of wine and that ALWAYS makes me sick, I just can't take it. And people are ALWAYS trying to get me to try various ones that claim to be free of this or that, but it doesn't matter...and I'm talking SIPS, like 3 total sips, just enough to touch the tongue....oh well. the motion sickness bands came in handy :) just gotta remember to put them back in the car.

Anyway, Sunday we got up and just hung out then they got all packed up and we headed to lunch and then sent them on their way while DH and I did a little shopping. I scored some killer deals on clothe for Ruby and then we got papa murphys and settled in for the night. It was a good weekend :)
