I am in my sister's wedding next weekend in DC. For the rehearsal dinner there is a bus taking people from the rehearsal to the dinner, so that no one has to worry about DC traffic and parking. My mom told me today that there isn't a way to hook up a carseat in the bus. What should I do? Has anyone ever taken a mini-bus with an infant without a carseat? Should I just drive my car where I know she will be safe?

Personally, I would take my own car. It's not safe for the baby not to be in the car seat. Plus, I would think it's against the law for the baby not to be in one.

what kind of bus is it and what kind of travel city or highway??? I take Jacob on a bus everyday with no car seat to take Liam to school. We either us the stroller or I use a carrier. Now we are simply doing city travel so the bus doesn't go too fast but I wouldn't take him on one that would go on the highway at this point.

I agree with Joanna....I'd take my own car. I'd never be able to forgive myself if something happened on the bus. Just my $.02

I had to ride on a bus once with one of my kids and there wasn't a way to use a car seat. I wasn't aware of the situation (we had flown to that city with a group and didn't know we would be on a bus). I asked the bus driver about it and she said that car seats aren't required on large busses. But my child wasn't a newborn.

Have fun at the wedding! Natalie is so adorable!
