I'm sorry I don't really have any advice.  Just that my DD is having the same gas problem, and I'm not eating anything gassy. She is also 3 weeks old, and is mostly breastfed but has one bottle a day of formula. Have you tried the Mylicon gas drops?  Those seem to work somewhat.

And the explosive poop DD had it so bad today it was coming out of her diaper!  I think with breastfed babies that they poop a lot and often.  I don't know if it's supposed to be as bad as its been for you though.

from what i'm aware of it is very common with bf babies...because brest milk is like a natural stool softener...EBF is great for the babies, but if it is really bad, maybe do like the other person that posted on here...and add maybe 1/2 ounce of formula to the diet every other feeding or so....that should help...if it doesn't then maybe a full ounce....your LO will grow out of it...but it might be a while, depending on when your LO's body adjust to feedings.

i don't brest feed....i'm actually having the exact oposit problem..........................constipation....
