Im traveling to CA from FL on Halloween and its with my 6week old and 3 year old...BY MYSELF! I will be ALONE! I do have the GoGo Babyz attachment for the carseat and plan on using that again, but im just worried how im going to handle my infant (didnt buy him a seat too $$$$!!) My 3yo is pretty good on keeping himself occupied but im afraid that he may freak out at some point of the flight and wants to be carried or something to where i cant give him attention right away because ill have my infant.  SO please PLEASE PLEASE anyone who has done this before please give me some good news!!!!!! Tips please!!!!!!! Freakin out here!

Yikes!

My 3 yr old is a seasoned traveler, but I haven't had to fly with Nina yet. My only advice for you is DVD PLAYER!!!!! That keeps Ava occupied when we travel. We fly from CA to RI so I know all about the cross country trip. Ava is perfectly content if she has lots of DVD's and snacks. I bring other activities but honestly, we just let her watch DVDs the whole time, and she is an angel. :) I am quite sure that the attendants and other passengers will be very helpful to you! Best of luck to you!

Do you have a sling for the baby?  That would help if you need free hands for the 3 year old.  Also, when you check in ask if it is a full plane and if not ask if they would give you a seat by the window and the other seat by the aisle. They will rarely put a single person between you and you then have 3 seats and only pay for 2 :).  If someone does end up getting that seat, ask them if they would mind taking the window so you can sit next to the 3 year old....usually people will then find a flight attendant and see if there is another seat available so they aren't by 2 small kids and you get 3 seats (if they stay there then you may have a good helper on the plane :))  Make sure you feed that baby a bottle or bf as you take off and we have found gummies work the best for making sure your ears don't hurt (better than gum).  I agree with PP on the DVD player...it is a wonderful thing and we didn't hear a peep out of my kids when we flew from WI to FL.  I also brought a notebook and a large pack of stickers that my dd LOVED to transfer the stickers to the notebook and then "color" around them.  It will be ok. Try not to pack too many games with pieces (they fall on the floor).  Use any help people will give you.  I learned that taking 2 kids (1 1/2 & 4) to Walt Disney World by myself (dh was working) for 7 days.  Good luck and let us know how it goes :)

***I used to have a great siggy but tried to put a new one on using scrapblog and it won't work....hopefully I can figure it out again soon****
