For fun and to share ideas...

Do you exercise? If so, what kind of exercise do you do? What is most effective for you?

I'll start...

Yes, I work out 5 times a week in the morning before work and I often will walk, run or hike on the weekends, but have been pretty lazy the past month.

Right now I'm working out with kettlebells and using Anni Mars "Force" videos and speed walking for cardio. I try to change up my routine every month or two.

I need to exercise more than I do :). I always played sports growing up and always remained active. The older I get the more difficult it is! With these female problems I've been having, it's more difficult b/c I'm in pain all the time. SO and I had started P90X, then this crap started and I had to stop..

I work out six times a week at the YMCA in the morning.  They have a wonderful Child Watch program that gives me up to two hours to regain my sanity.

I do the Body For Life regimine.  I alternate lifting and cardio although I admit I cheat a little and run after lifting because I love it...even if just a mile.

Did I mention I *heart* the YMCA because of their Child Watch program? :)

I work out from home in the mornings but I try to hit the gym on Saturdays and Sundays. DS will come with me and is old enough to work out with me now. I love that!

I haven't worked out since I had DD... sigh.

Hopefully there will be some changes soon allowing me some time to get back into it.

I'm a strength training freak. I am a certified trainer and used to teach boxing circuit, cardio kickboxing and a few other types of classes.

But...

I love love love LOVE David Kirsch. His programs are so effective and engaging. I get results in two weeks with his New York Body Plan and his maintenance programs are pretty easy to follow, yet intense.

It's great... a whole workout with a balance ball, 5lb dumbells and a medicine ball... heck, you can even skip the medicine ball if you want and just hold the dumbells together.

Love love love him.

That's a link to his book if you're looking for something new.
