Hi everyone,

I am a mom to two kids, one who is the so called "difficult" child. He's three years old, and set the fire alarm off on the first day of preschool. Lol (now that it's over) I started browsing messages boards about 6 weeks ago looking for techniques when I stumbled on NHA. I started implementing NHA, just by picking up a few things on the message boards. Shortly, after that I found a seminar in a nearby town given by MSU. Anne Lange was the NHA trainer. Anyway, to make a long story short, this approach has transformed my son's life for the positive, and I really feel like a great parent. I am planning to read the book very soon. I guess I did everything backwards by attending the training before reading the book. I am looking forward to getting to know others who are using this approach.

Hi Selma, Welcome to the board!

I'm loving it that you were able to go to Anne Lange's workshop. She's fabulous and has some amazing success stories of her own since she is also a mom and has a challenging child.

As to the "backwards method" you mentioned, this might be better in some respects as you've experienced a few aha's already and the book will make even more sense for you as you reflect on what you heard and learned at the workshop.
