What your cycle says about egg quality

I ran into a very interesting blog on the net today. This particular post was about what your cycle says about egg quality, and it has some ideas in it I'd never heard before. This by an RE, but I will say it says somme things that contradict what I have read elsewhere, such as the 'normal' day of ovulation, which I thought was day 14. This article says it is day 10 or 11. I also thought earlier ovulation mmeant better quality eggs, and this says later ovulation is not a quality concern and tends to mean high ovarian reserve. I usually ovulate day 13-15, occassionally as late as day 17-18 and do have high ovarian reserve, so I guess it fits with me. But I always thought day 10 or 11 was early. Interesting...I think I'll create a poll on this

Anyway here's the blog post:

There are many other interesting blog posts you can click on in the boxes to the left, from mmore on egg quality to how to improve implantation to how to improve sperm quantity and quality.

This is very interesting. Thanks for posting.  I have long cycles and it is interesting he says it is not a concern.  I think the case there is only if one is ovulating in a long cycle -- many long cycles are caused by not ovulating (which is often my case.)  If I do ovulate, it is not usually until in the CD late 20s or so.....  he did mention to me that having a high ovarian reserve probably did cause me to ovulate late or not ovulate at all.   Very interesting.... Thanks!!!!

Hmmm...I O late, typically 17-19 but have gone as late as 23.  And we know I produce poor quality eggs.  And my ovarian reserve is about average.  So I don't know what to think about this.
