Question about leg cramps and cycles

Hi! I have a question.  We miscarried seven months ago and have been trying the past six months.  It was an early loss and my body bounced back within the first month.  My pap test in July was normal and my doctor believes I am ovulating since my patterns are regular every cycle.  The strange thing is I have been getting definite leg cramps the past two days which I got the last two cycles and my period shows up several days later.  The leg cramps always show up after ovulation and continue on until my period comes.  Can this indicate a hormonal problem?  I am wondering if anyone else gets these kinds of cramps so far in advance of their period? I just think getting them 10-11 days in advance is a little excessive and makes me wonder if something is wrong.

I was always 28-29 day cycles before my miscarriage and have had a 31-day cycle the past few cycles it is as if my body is on automatic drive and is not allowing anything to break it up so we can get pregnant.  I also chart and saw a nice spike today which is good.  I have a strange feeling my odd 31-day cycles might be preventing us from conceiving and that my hormones might be the culprit.  I am heading to the doctor if my period shows up in 10 days for some blood tests and hubby wants to get tested also.  It has been six months and I am 35 years old.  I have also been getting some weird pains near my ovaries today it is like a dull ache but could be just gas pains.  I have a sneaking suspicion these leg cramps mean something more and might be a signal as to why we are not able to get pregnant.  Any help or advice would be much appreciated! Thank you!!

I haven't heard anything about leg cramps being associated. I know when I'm PMSing, everything hurts. Back, legs, uterine cramps, muscles everywhere, you name it, I've got it! Plus I'm one of those who start getting AF like symptoms the week before AF shows up.

I would mention it to your doctor but I don't think it's an immediate area for concern. Just let them do a full work up on you  to figure out what's causing you to not conceive. The good news is that you've conceived before so maybe your body is just trying to heal itself.

Thanks for the reply!  I broke down and went to the doctor last Friday and he ran a bunch of blood tests.  It looks like I am normal with excellent egg reserves so it was all good news.  My temps have remained very high this week and period is due tomorrow with no real sign of her yet.  I am like clockwork so if she does not show I will know something is up.  TMI - I had some small brown spotting in undies today but nothing when I wipe and temp was very high today so I know it is not my period yet.  The weird part is the cramping has stopped so I am sure what that is about.  I normally plummet a few days before period starts but it is has been strange for temps are very high right now.  I won't test until my period is late on Sunday.  I fully expect my period to show up tomorrow but getting those blood tests has given me the confidence for next cycle.   Thank you for your help and wish you very much luck this cycle!
