Hi ladies -- I have a question about when AF comes in a cycle when you don't O. One of the few problems I've never had in my laundry list of issues is that my cycles are very regular and I always O, usually between CD13-17. I'm on CD19 this cycle and my temps have been very erratic, there's no biphasic pattern going on and no apparent O. I wouldn't think much of it if my first cycle after the m/c had not been totally normal, but it was. I'm stressing out this cycle because I was counting on AF coming on time, early next week in order to get my December IVF in before Christmas. If it drags on much longer than that, it'll run over Christmas -- my family lives in TX and I haven't been down there since last year, so we're really counting on going. It would be a bummer, but we could go after Christmas I suppose, but the longer we have to wait to buy the airline tickets, the more expensive they'll be, etc etc.

I do have b/w tomorrow to confirm that my beta is finally zero (gosh, I hope so!) and they'll check my hormone levels too, so I should have more of an idea by tomorrow afternoon. But I was hoping that any ladies who don't O every cycle might be able to answer if their cycles are longer during those cycles?

Hi Lara!  I am sorry that you are going through this ... in my experience as I often do not O or O really late, my cycles have ranged from 30+ days to 90 days!  I have had many non O cycles that last 60 days.  For this reason, my dr often gives me provera or prometrium to jump start my cycles.   This past cycle during my break, I actually did O around day 31 so my cycle ended up being about 45 days I think.   It is possible that you still could O, just a little later.

Can you talk to your dr about taking provera or prometrium to help your cycle along so you do not have the troubles with scheduling around the holidays?  Just a thought!

Thinking of you and hoping that if you do O a little later, that it is sooner than later!!

Lara ~

Sorry I got to this late...I have had some anovulatory cycles that lasted from 30-60 days.  It's was always impossible for me to tell when they were going to end.  Hope your b/w tells you a lot today!
