I have a question about ovulation pain. This cycle I had such intense cramping and pain just before ovulation and could swear I felt a rupture at the time of what I assume was ovulation. The only other time I've felt anything like this was when I did 3 rounds of clomid a year and a half ago. I'm 2 days past o and still very tender. I had my annual last week and had no issues. So I guess I'm wondering if anyone else has had this.

Hi Roxanne,

I usually experience pain around O time and there is usually a couple of days it feels a little tender. However, if this is not the norm for you I would contact your OBGYN or RE to have them check it out...

Hi Roxanne,

I often have intense cramping and pain right before and after O, especially when we've been BD'ing around O. When my RE did an u/s after O one time, she just found a very large corpus luteum that she thought might be causing the pain. And, it also is more intense for me when I have ovarian cysts or am on Clomid (which seems to then cause cysts...). If it is something new for you, I would definitely talk to your doctor about it.
