Too early for pregnancy symptoms???

I passed out at work this morning and then took the bus home and felt tired and weak but fine. Then later on about 3PM I passed out again. Just before I pass out I get a fluttery feeling in the center of my chest and then have to cough and then I pass out. Now I get the fluttery feeling once and a while and have to cough but I don't pass out. I also once in while get a feeling like I am going to pass out. I am about 6 days away from AF. Has anyone had any symptoms this early? I went to the treatment center today any they did bloodwork including a pregnancy test but everything came back negative.

Thanks
Lori

You should call your GP IMMEDIATELY, you may need to go to the emergency room. Passing out (I assume you mean you fainted or lost consciousness without warning, not just being tired and taking a nap) is not normal, may be serious and should not be ignored. I am not a doctor but a fluttery feeling in the chest combined with losing consciousness immediately makes me think about a heart arrthymia.

OK I just googled Fluttery feeling in chest and fainting and that is exactly what popped up

http://www.webmd.com/heart-disease/guide/heart-disease-symptoms

Symptoms also seem to match something called Cardiomyopathy on page 3 of that same link.

Please call a doctor right away. I hope you and your heart are OK but if there is a heart problem immediate treatment could be critical. I'm sure there are probably many other things that could cause this as well but you need to be thoroughly evaluated by doctor and I would not delay.- Jenn

Thanks guys for your concern. I did go the Urgent Care facility that associated with one of the hospitals in my area and they did a complete workup and an EKG for the entire time that I was there. The dr also did a bunch of neurological tests and everything came back negative and they sent me home and told me not to drive and to call my GP tomorrow. They told me there can be unexplained fainting. When I was looking on line I came across info about being lightheaded or fainting during pregnancy but I did not think that would be it we did not try this month and it is too early. I will be calling my GP tomorrow for a sick visit and see what he says. I will let everyone know how I make out.

I really appreciate your help!

Lori, that's scary! Please take care of yourself -- is there someone who can be home with you? Even if it's not a heart-related issue, fainting at random is dangerous. I suppose it could be a pregnancy sign, but I'd think for now, forget about being pg and take care of yourself! KUP on how you're doing!
