Lately Mara (she'll be 3 next month) has been complaining that her "bones" hurt in her legs. LOL It seems like it's only while she's strapped in her car seat so I don't know if it's the position that she's in or the fact that she's just sitting still long enough to realize that her legs are hurting. Think it might be growing pains?? Anyone else's LOs have the same complaints?

Mara's FF in her car seat, right? A lot of little kids who are FF have issues with their legs falling asleep since the legs just sort of just dangle in the air. You could try showing her how to sit cross-legged in her carseat so her legs don't dangle or some parents use something on the floor in front of the seat so the kids can prop their legs up (a light stool, an upside down styrofoam cooler, etc). If she complains about her legs hurting when she's not in the car seat, then maybe it is growing pains.. we haven't dealt with that at all though, so I'm not much help with that!

That's a good idea-I'll have to give it a try. She does sit cross-legged sometimes, so maybe I'll have her do that more often. Thanks!

I've actually been thinking about growing pains as well. logan doesn't complain while in his carseat... but he says that his "leg fell asleep" a lot... and eventually I asked him about it... I squeezed his foot... and he said it didn't hurt... so I squeezed his calf... no pain. So i asked him where it hurt.. and he said his thigh.

I wonder if his legs are growing really fast or what. I do know that according to his growth chart, he's grown a full inch since August... and his pants are getting short.. so maybe?

Mara hasn't said anything else about her legs hurting while in her car seat-now she's talking about her legs hurting when we put her down at night. Again...who's to say it's growing pains...or just a way to delay going to bed LOL
