When do you put your Christmas tree up? Do you stick with tradition and do it after Thanksgiving? Maybe later? Or maybe sooner? Personally we (and by "we" I mean me) put it up earlier than Thanksgiving. I am actually putting them up tomorrow so that I can take my Christmas picture with the boys in their matching pajamas (for the Christmas card) in front of it. Also Thanksgiving is very busy for us with my brother deploying to Afghanistan, my older DS's bday and Thanksgiving that I like to have them up earlier so that I can enjoy them longer. What is your tradition? Also I am thinking of doing "Elf on the Shelf". Does anyone else do that?

We get a real tree so we don't usually put it up until about a week before Christmas.  We go and pick it out a week after Thanksgiving.  Then we keep it up until New Years Day and take it down.

My daughter's birday is Dec. 13th, so we wait until after that.  We take it down a week or so after Christmas.  Last year we bought an artificial tree with lights already on it.  Much easier.

Mine are all artificial but if I had a live one then I would wait until after Thanksgiving too. I love the smell of a live tree though!

Same here! Who knew it would alleviate SO much stress!? ;) I dont think we'll have our trees any other way from now on.
