Welcome...I love to give  ( really love to get) butterfly kisses from my little ones....they both have very long thick eyelashes...

I think it is wonderful that you will adopt and raise your grandchild...I I know I would have done the same..is it necesary to adopt could you just raise the child as your grandchlid....( I don't want o be too nosey just unsure of this)  what would be the difference?

Hi Butterflykisses

Has your new arrival arrived yet? I am also going to be adopting my grandchild this fall. Due date mid November. I was wondering if you could tell me what type of legal paperwork you had to do for the adoption? I live in BC and the baby will be born in Alberta, so I have interprovincial to deal with as well. We were thinking about having the tummy-mummy coming to live with us for the last couple of weeks and have the baby born in BC, but she is worried that she wouldn't be covered by medical then. So she may have the baby in Alberta and as soon as she goes into labour I will drive there to pick up little one. So far we have only told immediate family that our family will be expanding. (my current baby is 22 years old) Haven't even told my workplace yet, but that's mostly as I haven't really figured out how much time I will want to take off.
