Happy December Everybody;
I trust that everybody had a wonderful Thanksgiving and didn't get quite as stuffed as the turkey. I for one, wish we would celebrate Thanskgiving in October which would give us more time to actually take time to think about the true meaning of the holiday instead of Thanksgiving being the kick off to the Christmas season. After all we really don't harvest in November and to me it just makes more sense.
Having gotten that off my chest the realization sure hits home that in a brief 24 days we will be celebrating Christmas. We purchased our trees on Saturday and brought them into the house yesterday. Justin and Nathan lit them last night and they are all set to be decorated. I spent most of Saturday cleaning the house and the guys were in a holiday mood last evening and brought up all the decorations and we decorated the house last night. For me the lights are a big thing and my house is just twinkling. We got our first measurable snow of the season starting late yesterday afternoon and the outside lights look magical. No matter how old I get (and I'm already up there) I'll never tire of the magic that the holiday season holds. After the snow last night the trees are dressed in their winter finery and just sparkle. Now mind you, in spite of the fact that they look really pretty, I wouldn't mind if we got snow on Christams Eve and it lasted through January 3rd and then would be gone.
Well I'm off to continue a special stiching project and time is running out. Hope everybody is doing well.
