here is a woman who understands that women/people in general who have NOT had an abortion have a lot to learn from women who have been there... btw still thinking about recent discussions, much to digest from that.

enjoy, a great blog all around!

And those that I *have* learned from have only served to reinforce my stance.

However, by that reasoning, and since abortion is a pregnancy and health care choice, everyone best listen to those women who HAVE had children, who HAVE experienced complications during pregnancy and childbirth, as well as post-partum. They have a LOT to learn form them as well.

So scootchie up a chair- I've got miscarriage, pre term contrax, modified bed rest, hospital-enforced bed rest, premature rupture of membranes, multiple c sections, scores of adhesions, damaged bladder, and tubal ligation covered.
Others here have numerous birthing and pregnancy complications in which they have expertise- this would be a valuable resource indeed.

I'm just a lurker, but what a great post!

I can kick in my severe preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome, intrauterine growth restriction, poor placental function, days-long induction while on magnesium sulfate, complete bedrest and pelvic rest, thrice-weekly non-stress tests and 24-hour urine collections, a possible case of fetal hydrops (and almost a PUBS procedure on a 27-week fetus), my own permament kidney damage (and temporary liver damage), post-partum bedrest and frequent testing, serious cord incidents during labor...shall I go on? This will be a fun storytelling experience! ;O)

There ya go!

I want every women to be every so FULLY informed before making a choice to continue a pregnancy and delve into childbirth unaware of the very real short and long term risks. I could learn a lot form you- you've covered a lot I didn't have!
