Before you find out from other sources, I want to let you all know I have officially resigned from the board as cl. We've not been very active and my life has become more and more busy. I've not been able to hold up my end of the bargain, so I'm giving up the cl hat here, although I'll still be around, just as plain ole' Jan, that's all.

please continue to check in and be on the lookout for newbies. Be patient with the new format.

Love to all!

jan

Jan - I'm so sorry to hear that you'll no longer be the cl. First Meg left and now you. I hope you'll continue to stick around. YOu really helped me when I was first coming to grips with things 2 years ago. I really appreciate all the support that you and the rest of the board gave me! Any suggestions on how to liven things up? I'd be willing to try. Traci

Thanks Traci, I guess you never realize how you help someone. But, don't worry, I will still be in to check and listen, offer support and stuff. This is a cause I believe in passionately. Meg probably moreso than I, inthat she's much more vocal, me more quiet. However, I don't hesitate to help when I can. I haven't heard from Meg in ages and I miss her too. I am sure she's having a bunch of stress. The first year after graduating (from anywhere, really) nursing school to become an RN is a tremendous amount of responsibility, stress and not easy. It often seems that nurses 'eat their young'.

Anyway, I have no good ideas about livening things up. What is needed is new folks. I'm not sure how to attract them. I have no idea how the ivillage tech/marketing folks do anything, but perhaps more or better links, search engine links etc. I think that most of us have really come to deal with out decisions and our emotions pretty well. (not ever over, but healthy at least)

I'd be happy to add whatever I could too.

I've been really busy too. I am still working PT, may as well be a single mom still, coaching boys hardball, now ds has made a tournament team so its even worse, both are on swim team, I *just* this week completed physical therapy. The knee is improving but it does take a very long time for this to be back to almost normal. (Oh, I forgot to tell the ivillage folks about that, another "excuse" for my absence! Major surgery! LOL) anyway, that's just the tip of the iceberg. Its been great to get back into the workforce too. I do feel like I am really helping people. We got a new puppy, My big ole dog will be 10 on the 14th of July. Ijust don't want to be in the middle of the woods without an adult dog around.

So, I've only taken off the hat, not exited.

Take care, love jan

That's a shame, though it's good to hear you'll be around. We will miss you as CL. When did things start getting so slow anyway? It was long before the format change. What happened?

You know Nora, I have no idea why. When I started here, there were tons of posts and things changed often. Then all the 'oldies but goodies' sort of moved on and dealt with our emotions and arrived in a different place than a newer member. As to why there are no new posts from new members, its a mystery. I would guess links have something to do with it. Also, I don't know if the registration process has changed since I started here. (geez. Its been over 2 years. Seems like yesterday!) Any thoughts?

BTW, how's everything going with the plans, job, school and etc?

love jan
