Hi Lora, Welcome to the board!

I have a 5 yo, 3.5 yo and 20 month old at home right now (the older two will be in school in the fall though). For me personally, things seem to run better with somewhat of a loose schedule. In the morning we wake up and the kids watch Disney while I make them breakfast. They all sit at the table and eat together, then we clean up and get dressed for the day. Some mornings we do art, sometimes we listen to music and dance. We usually have some outside time when the weather is nice. At 10 am we have snack time. We play more, then have lunch at 11:45. More play time, then nap time. Snack time after nap.

We don't do the same activities every single day and we're not scheduled down to the minute, but it is helpful for them to know that everyone eats at the same time and nap is roughly at the same time each day. Our play varies and some times we go to the park or library or grocery store in the afternoon.

See what works for you and you can tweak it until everything runs smoothly.

Good luck!

Hi,

My children are the same ages!  For the most part, meals, snacks, and naps and bedtime are always at the same times.  My oldest wakes between 5am and 6 am, eats right away, has a snack about 9:30, lunch at 11:30, naps from 12-3.  Books precede nap and bedtime; we read up to half an hour before each.  I allow TV in the morning (because she wakes to darn early and sometimes the baby is still sleeping), but rarely allow it other times of day.  On certain days we have standing playgroups or classes that help structure our week.  The younger child can go with the flow and doesn't need the same structure as the older, but she doesn't fight it either.

Usually after breakfast getting dressed, etc. we go out to do something: go to the park, the library, playdate etc.  Then we come home for lunch, books, and naps.   After nap, we either play here at home, or go back out to do an activity, then dinner, then play, then books, etc. and bed.

hope that helps.
