We use starfall.com and sometimes disney.go.com.  I'm getting ready to check out the word of the day website too.  Daniel loves music, letters and numbers.  I was wondering if maybe we could start a list, what age the sites are good for and how much work they require.  I know some sites all you have to do is roll the mouse over something and it will open a new window.  Others you have to point and click.  Still others require selecting keys or using the arrow keys.  I don't have a computer that Daniel "play" with so I try to limit him to things that he only needs to click the button for now.  He's 22 months.  I'm thinking that once he's 2, I'll try to introduce the mouse.

Thank you.  Patti

Hi Patti,

It's me from the other board. :) This is the only site we visit other than starfall occasionally:

http://www.fisher-price.com/fp.aspx?st=10&e=gamesLanding&mcat=game_infant,game_toddler,game_preschool&site=us

The games are categorized by age group (babies, toddlers, and preschoolers). Anna really likes the Count the Score one, and the Musical instruments one. The Count the Score one is great because all they have to do is hit a key. The musical one requires pointing and clicking, which Anna's not great at just yet. I don't like our mouse, though, because it doesn't just have right and left clickers (technical word?), it also has that rolling thingy (again, not sure what it's called LOL) in the middle. Anna accidentally clicks it a lot.

I'll have to check out the disney one...

We use the Sesame Street website - they have many games that are just fun to play, but they also have educational counting and letter games.

We use Playhouse Disney that has some good matching games, and others that encourage critical thinking.
