Computer Program for Toddlers?

Does anyone know of a computer program out there (software or online game) that will teach my toddlers how to use the computer?

I want them to become computer-literate at an early age rather than learning later on like I did. I want to make sure that the program is educational and fun for them unlike those horrible Quick-Ask-Zoe type of exercises I had to go through.

Thanks!

Hi savvymom, I replied here yesterday but I must have forgotten to hit post. :( Sorry!

I haven't come across a program like this, but I'd love to know if you find one. My older kids (4 and 5.5 yrs) have learned the very basics from playing computer games on the Sesame Street, Playhouse Disney, and Nick Jr. websites. It would be nice to teach them some more advanced computer skills though.

Hi Kellie! I actually found one yesterday after I posted.
It's called Bon Jovan Smart Start. It's great and says that it can be used from 9 months up to 4 years which may be a little basic for your kids. It was just a simple download and I had Jack playing with it last night! The colours are great and the activities aren't too complex for him. This will be a great tool for the next little bit.

You can check out their site at www.bonjovan.com

I hope this helps out other parents as well! Let me know if anyone comes across another program I should use!

My 10m old plays "baby smash". My older kids began playing "Starfall" when they were about a year and a half. They are great at moving between windows and reading most of the words! I am amazed at how quickly they picked it up!

"Kid Key lock" is another great program to protect your computer from your kids accidentally deleting something important.

Photobucket Thank you Karen (Singingclaypearl) for my totally awesome siggy! I Love www.QuirkyMomma.com trolls

Thanks for the tip! My kids are always accidentally changing some setting or another on my laptop.
