The Sesame Street 40th anniversary is on Nov. 10th. Where has the time gone? (And how old does that make me - I have the 10th anniversary record album!)

Did you watch Sesame Street as a kid? What were your favorite characters, moments or memories? How do they compare to your kids faves?

November is National Adoption Month!

We do not watch it because I am trying to limit TV exposure and we are just not home when it is on (she is in daycare).

I remeber many PBS shows including Sesame Street, The Electric Company, Zoom, and Mister Rogers - I liked them all! Elmo was not around when I was little and so I probably like grover and big bird.

Munch started with Sesame Street videos, since he was in daycare when it was broadcast when he was younger.  Since last year, though, he does watch it at home sometimes before school, and still loves the videos. 

My mom always said Sesame Street came along "just in time" for me and my brother.  I was only a few months old when it premiered, and my brother was 3.  (OK, now I've really dated myself too!)

I'm sure Sesame and The Electric Company had a lot to do with my being an early reader, ditto for Munch.
