So we went out of town last weekend and the ranch where we stayed had a couple of dogs. Since we've been back, Caro has been pretending to be a dog A LOT. She even wants me to refer to her as "Lucky" one of the dogs name. Crawling on the ground, barking, etc. At first, I was like no big deal... but wow, this is Thursday and she's still keeping it up.

Is this "normal"? Not sure what to think about it all, but I'll admit that it is getting very annoying. I want her to use her imagination, but this seems to be taking it a bit far? WWYD? Let her continue with her play acting or restrict it?

Now bear in mind we have two dogs, but my son Owen who is 6 does this alot. I think its normal to do roleplaying like that as long as its not something that "consumes" their day. :) Owen like to pretend he is a dog and play with our other dog Riley. I am sure its just a phase. Maybe its a sign you need a new puppy!!! LOL :)

My kids pretend to be a dog all the time and while I postively dislike our dog, it is kinda cute. I think if she starts asking to eat her food on the floor without using hands then maybe I'd restrict it. Otherwise, let her have her fun. =) Before ya know it, she'll be over it and asking to go to the mall without you! lol*

Secretly hoping for a little more pink in the house!

LOL that is funny!!  my neice did that when she was little but instead of a dog she was a horse! boy did that girl have some skill, she would run around on her hands and feet(like butt in the air).  I remember SIL getting irritated when she tried doing it through the store though ;)   she did eventually grow out of it.

I agree that let her have fun with it but remind her that she is still Caro and needs to act like a girl when Mom and Dad want her to (instead of ignoring you cause " I'm a dog mom I can't do that").

Maybe offer her some dog food and maybe she'll see its not so fun to be a dog ;) LOL J/K
