How long does seperation issues tend to last?  I know Jorja had it for a while and it obviously went away, but if I take one step in the oposite direction of cortney she LOOSES IT!  If I let Jorja sit on my knee and not her so looses it!  If someone comes over who may babysit, she looses it thinking I am going to leave!

I know this will pass... but man is it tough!  I am with her all day always!  I do have a sitter come in Monday Mornings (luckly the sitter gets here before cortney gets up!)

Any words of encouragment!

Lisa

My 10 month old is just about as bad. I have not gone out with my husband in I don't know how long. We recently had a family reunion and all of the aunts and uncles wanted to hold the baby and she was not having it. I know things get better because they did with my 3 year old dd but man I feel your pain about the younger one. one thing I have tried that has worked for a short time (long enough to get a glass of water or adjust something in the oven. ins walk in the other room and wait about 5 seconds and then pop back in and say boo, repeat about 5 times each time staying away a little longer and always coming back and saying boo so she knows I am coming back. It does not always work but I am sure you could give it a shot. also you might try spending some devoted one on one time. She might need that extra "I know my mommy is right here" time. I hope things work out for you (me as well!) Just know you are not alone.

(((hugs)))  It will pass.  DD is 17 months old and goes through this every few months.  It seems to last about a week and coincides with teething.  I know DS had some separation issues, but I was a WOHM for the first 15 months so that was a completely different animal for us.  I hope things get better soon.
