Closely-Spaced Siblings

Yesterday I went into Kayla's room after her nap to find she had grapped the cord from the blinds on her window( not sure how she reached it) and had it tightly wrapped around her neck! She was crying and pulling on it and I think had tried to get away from it by going to the far end of her crib.Which only made it tighter,I quickly unwrapped it(it was around 3 times) and she had a big red mark around her neck! I was so freaked out..what if I hadn't gone in when I did...sometimes I let her fuss for a minute if she hasn't been in there that long cause she will go back to sleep. I can't even begin to imagine what I would have done if I had walked in and found her.... shudder!! If she had sat down or fallen down it would have choked her!

I got the scissors out and went around the house and cut all the cords really short, I never thought of doing it before this.

I am so thankful that she had angels watching over her,I think my kids have more than most...and they even work overtime!

Oh. My. Gosh!!! I agree with Jenn, that must have been absolutely terrifying!! I am so glad she's okay. (((HUGS)))
