I was outside with the kids and one of the neighbors was out walking his dog. He's a very nice elderly man and the kids love his tiny dog. So he stopped so the kids could pet her, and he says how much he can't believe how much Joseph looks like DH. Spitting image, etc. And then he says "And she looks so much like you even though she isn't yours." Um, well she is mine. What else could I say?
Okay, that totally ticked me off. I 100% know he wasn't intentionally trying to be mean or disrespectful, but HELLO she's standing right there! She'll be 5 in December and it just seems so wrong to say something like that PERIOD much less in front of the child.
