Caro's going on a field trip today with her preschool class. They're going to the library for story time. I'm happy she's going, but I'm also very nervous about her outing without me! Is that weird?
I'm glad she had a good time! I don't think your feelings were odd at all. I was lucky enough to be a chaperone for DS's first field trip to the pumpkin patch last year. He was in preschool, and he was so excited to be able to ride the bus. The parents who volunteered to help weren't able to ride the bus, so everyone drove. 2-3 parents per car. It was so funny because all of the parent cars seemed to form a protective bubble around the bus (we had to take a 4 lane highway). It was just so funny to see how all of us "slowed down traffic" by doing the speed limit and surrounding the bus. I was kind of towards the back of the pack, so I had a nice view of how it looked. How I wish I had my camera for that one!
