We've never been to Seaworld, is it worth the expense to hire a taxi and give up time at Disney??

We may go to Sea World on our trip, but it is b/c we will be there for 9 days & are only going to the Disney Parks for 6 of those days.  Sea World is nice, but I would rather spend my time in Disney.

I think it's worth it if your family enjoys shows and animals.  It doesn't have a ton of rides and it's a very relaxing theme park experience.  You grab a schedule in the beginning of the day and just sort of move from show to show seeing all the animals.  It doesn't change much from year to year so it's not something you need to do every year (but then DW doesn't change either and I do need to do that every year - LOL!)

Absolutely!  We LOVE SeaWorld and would go there monthly if we lived in the area!

This may be considered a wrong thing to say on this board, lol, but I like Sea World BETTER than Disneyland.  :)

My kids know Seaworld like their own neighborhood because we have gone year after year.  The kids are now 11 and 15 and we will finally be taking them to Disneyland this year.  They have never experienced Disney because I have always said that I will take them one time, so they had better be old enough to remember it for life!  :)  Silly, I know, but I much prefer SeaWorld.

Dilemma, a newbie to this board who is starting to plan a trip for February!

I think Sea World is fun.  Nice time, good price tickets (especially if you buy them online and plan to go more than once - tickets good for 2 weeks of use are about $90 and include water park admission!).  BUT, if you're there for a limited time and have Disney tickets for those days, I would NOT skip the Disney parks to see Sea World.  I would use it as a break from Disney or to lengthen your trip, something like that.  It just takes so long to see the Disney parks that I'd rather spend my time there if I already had tickets.

We went because tickets were cheaper than Disney and my family wouldn't pay Disney prices.  So we went to Sea World with them for a couple of days (plus the water park) and then went to Disney a couple of days on our own.
