The earlier the better! They need the social interaction and routine to prepare them well in advance before kindergarten, IMO. My daughter started at 3, and we found she has some major sensory issues that we always thought it was 'just her personality' We are glad we found out early, got an IEP in place, and she is doing great in school! She starts kindergarten next year and she will be more than prepared!
