Gender Determination

Hello Ladies!

I've been on and off this board for the last 9 years ( gosh, that's a little long, isn't it). Anyhow, we have DD (12), DD (11), DS (8- Shettles success), DD (6), DD (2) and now I am PG with #6 due in Mid July.

AF began 9/8 and on CD 14 got LH surge using OPK and stretchy CM, BD CD15 which was Day 2 of CM. Shettles for timing, position and also used caffiene and Preseed as my CM is there but not abundant. I O'd first, etc. BD again 3 days later for fun and because I really thought I was PG already. That would put my EDD at 6/15.

Went today for US and the tech has me at EDD 6/17. Now I am really worried that BD #2 was it and not the first time - damn we should have used a condom but well . . . . .

Any ideas? Advice? I would so love to give my son a brother. Of course, healthy is most important but after 4 girls, i am due for another boy. Chinese gender chart says boy for one and girl for the other. Thinking of using Intelligender - any thoughts on that? Haven't been lurking enough to know what you all think of it.

Congrats on your pregnancy! I hope its another DS for you!

Before you get all worried  that you conceived the second time, remember that there is pretty much no way the ultrasound tech can pin point the exact date you got pregnant. They can be off by weeks! They just go by size of the baby and your last menstral cycle - and those are not foolproof. So just cross your fingers and hope for the best!

And dont bother with intelligender. It goes of the pH of your urine, which you can change by changing your diet. Its not accurate.

How is life with almost 6 kids? Is it really difficult? I havent decided how many kids I want but I've heard that after 3 its pretty much the same - which seems strange to me. Haha.

Thanks for your note. Of course, you are right. I just know the earlier the US the more correct it is - which gives me pause.

Life with a bunch of kids is really great - except when everyone has to be at the same place at the same time. Beyond that, it's really just a matter of organizing and delegating. No biggie.

No problem! And remember even an early ultrasound can be two days off! Just enjoy your pregnancy and you'll find out evetually! lol!

I agree that ultrasound techs aren't always correct on EDD! I think your timing sounds great!

I conceived my DS using Shettles and he was born July 14th. I was getting all sorts of EDD's and I know exactly when I o'd and when we BD'd and it was very similar to your timing!

I used timing, postition and potassium supplements and the month I got my bfp I had great CM and it was the first month I had it.
