Hi Ladies, I'm looking for those who did Microsort. We are doing IVF (due to other fertility issues) and are also doing Microsort. We did our sample 2 weeks ago, and it is being shipped to my Dr. as I type this. They said the sample is 89% pure, meaning that 89% are "girls". I know that is really good odds, but for some reason I'm worried... I had decided to just go with MS and not PGD, but now I'm wondering if maybe I should do PGD too. I don't know.. It is so hard for us to get preg, and this is our last try, part of me just wants to know 100% we are trying for a girl, another part of me is fine with the 10% odds (preg rates are closer to 93% for a girl) I want to know if anyone out there did Microsort and did NOT get what they wanted????

March 2000- started TTC again
September 2004- miscarriage
July 2005- IUI's w/ injectables = pregnant with TWINS
March 2006- gave birth to twin boys!

Sept 21^st 2009 started AF… IVF cycle starts!!

Hi Kami,

Did you know pgd is on sale now? lol. I just saw on in-gender that it's 25% off until the end of the year =o). Still a lot of $$$ though.

I went to MS and tried to get an IUI in Jan 2001, so 9 years ago (whoa!). DH's sample came up way low and we drove back home from VA to GA with me crying hysterically and ovulating at the same time. [I'd already took the hcg shot the night before).

I understand I'm of no help but wanted to wish you ~GOOD LUCK~!

LOL about it being "on sale!" We did MS but had the frozen sample shipped to my RE, so it is not "on sale" at my RE's office! It is not 100% even about the money, I guess I worry about hurting the embies... Maybe I can make a better decision when I have some idea how many eggs I have :)

I'm sorry about your experience! That sucks. My DH sample was not very good, and they almost would not sort it, but we are doing IVF/ICSI, so they did. I hope when it thaws it is good!
