Hi, I am new to all of this so please bear with me. I have a 12 dd, who has been having problems learning at her school and now severe anxiety. I have considered homeschooling for a while now, but I have no idea how to go about it. Some sites have told me that I need to give them two weeks in advance before withdrawal. I need to know if this can be waived.

Any sites that could help would be excellent. I need all the help I can get.

Thanks in advance,
Tracey in WV

Hey,
We're in WV too. You do have to give notice.
I can send you links with all of that info.
Email me at debnorman@charter.net and I'll send you anything that I have that might help you. We just pulled out my 15 year old stepdaughter this past February. And she is learning and doing SO much better at home. It was the best decision we've made.

PS: You didn't get many replies here because I think everyone has moved over to this other board, here's the link

I think this one here is about to be closed or something, anyway that's the new one.

Take Care,
Debbie

Yes, this board is officially closed, but the post button hasn't been removed yet. There are a lot of issues being worked on at ivillage, and the removal of the button is very low priority. The cls check in on both of the closed boards on occasion to try to help people find the new board. It is really awesome! Come on over: http://messageboards.ivillage.com/iv-pphschooling/
