Just saw this discussion on another board. While the members there gave it a thumbs down, I thought it was a fabulous idea. What do you think?

I saw this woman on the news.  I didn't read the article, I watched an interview.  From what I understand the girls had to be between a certain age, and have a sibling who had a child as a teen.  She did this because the pregnancy rate skyrockets when you have a sibling who had a teen pregnancy.

Then I think she has all kinds of classes.  I had the impression you didn't get a dollar a day, but the money when you aged out successfully.  She taught birth contol, but also abstinence and other things. 

Hey, anything that can get some of these girls better educated and the chance towards a better future is a good idea in my mind.  From what she said it is not funded by federal dollars.
