I personally would never wear or let my kids wear hand me down underwear. Underwear wears out and need to be replaced often enough anyways, so why pass down ratty undies. I would much rather spend the extra cash and get new undies!!! The "ick factor" isnt a big deal to me. people hand down bikinis and bathing suits and its the same as underwear. Spend the cash if you can!

Well, my younger dd just went into her sister's room and took all the training bras the older one outgrew, does that count?  I didn't make a big deal.  And currently they do wear the same size underpants and I'm pretty sure they don't know who's is who's.  Just grab a clean pair. (I know I don't know which belong to which when I fold and put away the laundry.   I don't think I'd ever give someone used underwear, but this really doesn't bother me.  Two kids living in the same house, sharing the same bathroom, I have no doubt they share germs.

Gesh...all those dainties, floating around in the same wash water in the laundry...and if you are doing your wash at the wash and dry, in the same tub as who knows who's danties were in there before you tossed in your Tide and Bounce!!!! Come on...if they are clean, they are clean and if they are clean...think GREEN and recycle the undies too.

We should be so lucky to have so little to worry about in life that we have to worry if it is ok to have underwear as hand-me down's.
