I'm not sure if all the results are in...I think they passed it, banning gay marriage. Why is it we can get the results from the President in just a few hours, but results from ONE proposition in ONE state takes so long to find out? That's backwards. Anyway, I think the votes are counted now. I guess?
Speaking of backwards, what I don't get is how anybody could vote to change their constitution in order to take away rights from their fellow citizens.
Appalling, and rather short sighted, given that it they can vote away someone else's civic marriage their own civic rights are open season.
I will never understand the eagerness of some to attack our precious families. Shameful.
I LOVE California...I really do....but right now I am so offically disgusted with it along with Ariona and Flordia....I'm sorry but taking away peoples rights is horrid and cruel....I keep repeating myself but....I actually feel sick. Whatever happened to life and liberty to all not just the *moral* majority and the seperation of church in state...deny it all they want..ALL the arguments were religious!
Moreso, according to exit polls, a large number of "yes" voted came from minorities.
How is it, that those who have been oppressed can find this an acceptable choice? And how does any person feel that civil rights should be up to popular vote? if that were the case, schools would have been segregated a lot longer, inter-racial marriage illegal a lot longer, etc.
