This is my first time on a message board and I'm doing it as a class assignment.  It seems very amazing to hear what everyone has to say from their experiences to any suggestions they might have.  I wanted to add that I get that comment all the time from friends and co-workers or anyone that doesn't know me personally.  I have 7 children, which 1 is from my previous, 3 are from my husbands previous and 3 are ours together.  My husband and I consider all of them ours.  But when I tell people I have 7, their eyes widen and ask, "Are they all yours and wow, how could you do it?"  I explain the situation, but at the same time I am very proud of my family.  I fell very fortunate to have my wonderful step sons.  I couldn't ask for anything better.  Their mom passed away when they were little so they love and respect me as their biological mom.  After reading what everyone mentioned on this topic I feel alot stronger.  I'm definitely going to use some of the suggestion to respond back to anyone that has something to say about my family. I'm very happy that you brought up this topic.  Thanks.
