What are those 10 necessary staples that you ALWAYS buy at the store? If I look in your fridge and pantry at any given time, what will I likely find? What would be UNLIKELY?

For us-

1) gluten free pasta and pizza dough mix

2) pasta sauce

3) veggie chips

4) frozen veggies

5) fresh fruit and spinach

6) chicken breast

7) corn tortillas and taco shells

8) enchilada sauce

9) refried beans

10) brown rice

You would be very UNLIKELY to find bread or other things containing gluten, artificial 'juices' such as koolaid, left overs (people tend to eat everything I prepare!)

Oh how I wish people liked onions in my family. I really love onions and garlic. :)

Gosh, this is one that I have to think a minute to answer

In no particular order of importance, only as my preggo brain recalls them:

cheese slices

bbq sauce (b/c the boys *MUST* put it on everything)

milk - regular for the kids and dh, almond milk for me

hamburger meat

juice - apple, cranberry

variety of pasta (for pasta salad, etc)

olives - kids will eat a can apiece if I let them.

ketchup

mustard

mayo

I try to keep a fairly common standard list of stuff on hand, but vary it with seasonal things or interesting stuff, or even stuff I catch on clearance or sale.

You're unlikely to find a lot of prepackaged stuff in my fridge because I am allergic to sulfur/sulfites and nitrites, which are found in pretty much all the convenience foods. It sometimes drives my teens nuts that I only buy "ingredients". However it forces them to cook stuff for themselves occasionally and a little life skill never really did much harm. They actually like cooking things, so some days I let them have the kitchen. This will be an utter God-send in September when I have the baby.

~Trish

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields
and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Hmmm...

Lettuce
cheese (usually shredded, but sometimes brick)
lunch meat
frozen bread dough
frozen veggies
milk
salad dressing (Wishbone Italian and Shaw's ranch)
olive oil
orange juice (Tropicana)
Head & Shoulders shampoo

What you won't find:
shrimp
broccoli
cauliflower
spinach
caffeinated soda
