Maybe this post doesn't belong in the "Discussing the Issues" section - but oh well.

So my question is where have all the Republicans on this board gone?  Isn't much of a debate board if there is no one to debate!  Poor Laura seems to be the last conservative standing.  While I don't necessarily share many or any views with conservatives it only benefits me to hear all sides to an arguement.

Any Republican lurkers??  Please jump in - it makes the board better for everyone.

Near as I can tell, it's the "debate" part that's at issue.  You're not supposed to debate, you have to agree.  I'm really unclear as to how having a right to an opinion translates into everyone having to share it...on a debate board, no less.

Debate boards aren't for everyone...some people simply prefer to stay out of deabte and stay in a safe zone with like minded people. This goes for both sides.

Also..there is another politcal board on IV as well that is much busier than this one.

We'll get more debates going...don't worry :) People come and go...such is the nature of message boards :)

I haven't left, just taking a breather from the most recent posts.  I don't want to be mean or personal to ANYONE, so I am choosing to lay low for a bit.

Why is it that if I don't live "within my means", there are serious consequences (bankruptcy) for which I am solely responsible, but when the government doesn't live within its means, I am expected to bail it out?
