I saw a woman today with an American flag attached to the back window of her car. Has anyone else seen these? They stick up off the top of the car, antenna like, and somehow attach to the window. Well, it was all tattered and crummy looking and I really wanted to tell her to take it down. It bugged the heck out of me! I am all for a nice bumper sticker (although I don’t like them for my car personally) or something. I am certainly not against the flag in any way, but I really hated this flag. It just screamed, "look at me!", which may have just been my non-morning person perception of it. But even if she loves our flag so much as to have it waving behind her car in traffic all day and all night long, then hey, take care of it!!!

OMG! how horrible to be waving a flag that is torn up and tethered. We change out our flag asss soon as it starts to fade.

Poor flag ettiquette really bugs me.  Take your flag in when it is raining.  If it is displayed at night, shine a light on it.  If it's tattered, take it down and burn it in a flag burning ceremony.  If you are not willing to learn and follow proper flag ettiquette, please don't display a flag.

EXACTLY!  We usde to have a porch flag at out house, but it started to fade and I took it down (never replaced it :( ).  I was behing her in the drive thru lane at McDonalds and I just wanted to get out and bang on her window and tell her to take the crummy thing down!  Although, she would have probably thought I was some extreme flag burner or something.....so I refrained!  LOL!

Funny thing, I will defend flag burning.  They are making an intentional statement.  The one they mean to make.  Those that don't follow flag etiquette are trying to show how patriotic they are but are in fact showing their ignorance.
