Just school. UGH. One of those days where I want to quit- but going back to counting cans of soup at the grocery store just isn't going to cut it LOL.
I had my last test today. I guess I did ok on it. Some of the questions were very frustrating to say the least. I enjoyed clinical a bit more than last week. But it's still hard, and I'm paranoid she's going to stick me with someone who's comfort care (in the active stages of dying).
And now I have this paper due on the 19th. A teaching- learning paper. It was kind of funny- my mom said "What, nurses teach"? Um yeah- who do you think teaches the non-complient diabetes patient what's going to happen to them when they ignore their blood glucose and stop taking their meds......... It's worth 2 test grades, so it could really help the GPA if I do well on it.
We got some information about our next level classes, OB/Peds. Sounds kind of interesting. Class is M afternoon and Th am. Clinical is supposed to be T, W. Tests are Mondays, and we have lecture that day AND we have to do our pre-clinical paperwork as well (which is more of a pain than anything- I'd better get a closer hosptial than the one I have now :P) I'm not looking forward to Mondays, since it's also the day that someone has to drive my oldest 30 minutes to a Bay Youth practice. And it's something she loves, so I don't want to make her give it up.
But- clincial days all depend on space. Since there is only 1 children's hosptial, and a whole bunch of schools that need to go there for clinical, we get when we get. The teacher warned us that we might have to do a clinical on a Thursday or Friday (but then we'd get a T or W off)
The neat thing is- for the peds rotation we don't just have to go to the hospital. They let us go to schools and follow the school nurse around. There's a day care center that they send us to.
So as long as I make it through the rest of 101 (and I will- or I will die trying LOL) next semester sounds pretty interesting. Only 5 weeks left here!
