We all do nice things for our kids -- but wouldn't it be great to know what they really remember -- what counts and what is forgotten? I figure the best resource for this answer is us - other moms - what do your kids remember and what took a lot of work but did not really seem to matter to them? Let's share and then put our efforts into what counts -- because don't we all have enough to do without stressing over something that will be forgotten by tomorrow?
Welcome to the board! I think you make a great point. I try to remember back to my own childhood and what I remember from there. Mostly I have warm feelings from spending time with my friends and family. For the most part, it wasn't the shows I was watching on TV, it was the bike rides and games I played with everyone. Not all of them are good memories but the good ones certainly out shine the bad ones.
