I just read a funny article by a mom on weBEgirls.com about the rules her daughter has for her...like no talking to her in front of her friends and, God forbid, no singing in the car when she is driving them around.  Do your kids have "rules" for you?

LOL! lots!  Of course I am really pretty incorrigible and I don't obey.

Heck no. The day my kids tell me what to do in my own home/car is they day they find thier own.

My 14 year old son still hugs me in public. My 10 year old still holds my hand. I dont get kids whoa ct this way.

I dont get kids who act this way.

Give it 6-8 years, and it'll likely be crystal clear! ;) LOL

My kids might have had rules for me when they were teens, but I never bothered to listen. LOL  Right now, their only "rule" is "you'd better be available when my heart is broken and listen to me unjudgmentally" - but they're 18-25 now and have long gotten over the silliness of the teen years.

No. I do not allow my minor child to dictate my behavior for his own personal comfort. The only "rules" he is allowed to set are the boundaries of his own body which I consider a human right. He gets to decide how people (including me) touch him.
