Hi ladies. I have decided to decorate the living room. Everything here looks the same as it did 17 yrs ago, no changes. lol. There is way too much stuff in here too. So I have a plan. sort of anyway.

The sofa and loveseat will go to my DD as she really needs them. I will have a sofa and a chair in here, the coffee tables and lamps, a book shelf and that is it. DD will help me decorate. She is the one who has a talent for that sort of thing.

DH and I had dscussed putting tile down but then we were talking and there is nothing wrong with this rug and we are on a budget. So I invested in a rug shampooer that can be used in the units here and we won't have to always hire someone to do the rugs. So I considered that a good investment.

The curtains are fine but I will add a couple of panels to make them look fuller. DD and I have the paint and will paint the livingroom an antique white.

That is about the extent of it. lol. As I said we are on a buget so if we are lucky we can add a plant or 2.

I  have not selected the furniture as yet. Maybe today. They are having a closeout sale downtown.

Tell me about what you hope to accomplish in the way of decorating. Ideas are always fun to discuss especially as everyone is unique and can share ideas. MaryAnne

How goes the decorating? Did you and DD get any paint on the wall yet?

I still have three rooms in our house that we've never even painted! They still have the 'builder's white' paint on the walls. (I call the thined down version of white paint 'builder's white.' It barely covers the walls. LOL) The problem with two of the rooms is that they got filled up with 'stuff' way too quickly. I think my next project is getting the boys/guest bathroom painted.

I hope your project is coming along nicely.

Hi cmwendy. The project would be finished except that I am working nonstop. I mean we are busier then ever at work. It boggles the mind. I also help my DH here on the complex and it is a lot of work.It has not rained here for the longest time and we have to keep watering day and night.

I have a sofa and chair on layaway. That's as far as I got. lol.

Anyway all is well and I am looking forward to getting things done as planned.

I have to laugh about your 2 rooms filling up with stuff. My whole house is like that. LOL. I have cleaned out a lot and given stuff away. It is hard to throw anything away. lol

Take care and  have a wonderful day. MaryAnne

Hi cmwendy. It rained enough to mess up the car. That was it. It is much too dry here. Eventually it will rain but it is never enough. As for the decorating it will probably get done in the next few weeks. I have some days off before long.
