Hi Tee. How are you doing? I miss hearing from you. How is your little girl doing? Is she enjoying her studies?  She is such a smart little girl. What do her studies consist of now? I know she loves to read. Does she like math also? I cannot get over what an advantage she has with your teaching experience and loving care. She is blessed.

My grandchildren are all glad to be back in school. The 2 girls ages 11 and 15 stay busy all the time. The 11 yr old goes to church on Monday evenings with kids her age. She invites people and it is so awesome how enthused she is about all she learns and shares it with me. He social life has mine beat.

Monday she went to church and the next day she was invited to a BBQ and  the following day she was invited to spend the night with the girl her age who lives in the unit above us.

Baby Desiree is 8 months old and her vocabulary consists of 3 words,''Bye, mama, dada.'' She weighs 22 pounds. Her blue eyes are turning green and she is not quite as fair complexioned as she was. She gets a lot of attention with 4 brothers and sisters so is a happy baby as long as her tummy is full.

My son and DIL in Texas are expecting a baby on Sept 15th and that is my brothers birthday. It would be nice if the baby does come that day making him a great uncle again. lol.

I would love to hear the latest news so let me know what is happening in your part of the world. Take care. MaryAnne

Hi MaryAnne! I don't get onto the message boards as often as I used to. We're definitely keeping busy! Homeschooling is going wonderfully! DD does like to read AND do math. We're still dealing with a bit of perfectionism in that DD gets discouraged if she doesn't know EVERYTHING. She's forgetting that learning means that there are always new things to learn and new ideas to form in your mind. Sometimes she gets frustrated that she doesn't always have all the answers. I think sometimes, though, it's a little bit of a show. She'll try things and do her best to make educated guesses if I'm not right there with her. So, sometimes that is the best way...to let her figure things out on her own and then she doesn't feel like she has to "perform to perfection" while I'm there as an "audience". Does that make sense?

But, most of our days are rather busy. I haven't been on this board since whatever day you posted this. So, I apologize for not seeing it sooner. I'll probably be a bit more sporadic. Life is just busy and I have to keep my priorities straight. :)

Thanks for keeping me posted on your family. Did your son and DIL have their baby yet?

Hi Tee. It is so nice to hear from you. I know you are very busy these days. I am pleased that your DD likes the homeschooling and all is going well. She is such a smart little girl that she wants to learn everything at once. lol. That just proves that learning for her is fun.

It does make sense that your DD can make guesses and not feel she has to perform to perfection. In many things she can draw her own conclusions.

I remember my own children doing that.

The baby has not arrived  but any time now. My DIL has a problem in that she needs a root canal ASAP. Whether she found a dentist yet I don't know. They gave her 3 shots in the gums in ER. Otherwise she is okay but the shots only help the pain for 3 days so I hope she found a dentist. I will keep you posted.

My life is really busy too Tee. I have my hosp job ( 1 yr on the 21st) and also am helping here on the complex and handling all the finances and am busy all the time.

Take care and check in whenever you can. MaryAnne
