Where did September go?  It seems just like it was yesterday when I did the September Roll Call.  Does it seem like time's flying by you, too?

I'm Brigitte from Ontario, Canada living on a beef and sheep farm with DH and we have five children ranging from almost 15 down to almost five months.

Hi... I'll sign in for roll call, because I do lurk here. I started lurking here when we moved and had to register w/ the post office as having a rural address but it's not that "country". We can hit a grocery store in 30 minutes (but there is a liquor store across the street). Anyhow... I'm Kate and I live w/ my DF and DS. DF and I are planning a May 2010 wedding. We're in Western MA and I work in CT.

I am Amy Lynn married to Ethan. We have an 11 year old son named Bryan and are STILL TTC our first child together. We have a beef farm but we both work full time in town too. He works for the State Patrol and I am a Nursing Assistant and a nursing student. We have lots of pets(dogs and cats and ducks and chickens and peacocks) just for fun. I am hoping to get a goat or maybe a piggie next spring. We will see. I still need to clean out my garden and get it ready for the weekend. It did not go as well as I had hoped. But at least I know more for next year.

Well, rural address is enough for me to welcome you to the board, Kate and thanks for delurking.  Our closest grocery store is about 1/2 hour from the Farm, but no liquor store across the street, although our neighbour has enough cases of beer in his garage, that you could think he's distributing it ...

What do you guys do for a living?

I'd like to get some pigs again as well.  DH said that this guy offered him a dozen piglets for $500 ... that same guy complained that if he was to send those piglets to the salesbarn he'd only get $28 ...  So DH is going to make a trip to the salesbarn one of these days, because we don't really need a dozen of them.  I'd like to have room for birds, but have to make do with my Budgies for now.  I trade eggs for 'burger with a friend of ours, but I find it a hassle to keep track of it and to have to go there to get them when I need them.  They only get a "pile" of 'burger when we slaughter a cow, so they don't have to come over ...  Oh well.
