It's one week until Halloween.  Do you have plans?

Thanksgiving is quickly approaching.  How will you celebrate?

Christmas is in two months!  Have you given it much thought yet?  Plans?  Shopping?  Favorite gift ideas?  Menu?

Well, of course.  It's our traditional Christmas decorating party.  I will pull all of the deco out this week, and the kids will decorate on Saturday.  We have a stash of candy canes, for the poor ToTer that knocks on our door (despite the porch light being off...we have at least one every year).

Thanksgiving is quickly approaching.  How will you celebrate?

Not sure yet, we usually spend the night at my mil's.  We come home on Friday, and have TG dinner at home on Saturday.  Dd12's bday is the same weekend, so there are birthday plans in there somewhere too.

Yep.  Decorating next weekend.  As for gifts, we usually keep things to a minimum.  We aren't sure yet where we will celebrate, or with whom....our close friends that we've always spent Christmas with are no longer together, and there have been many other changes this year.  This is my favorite time of year though, and my family is looking forward to it (in fact, the kids were talking about it in July!).

No halloween here. I did think of Christmas this morning, with some dread. I am not sure I have it in me, but, OTOH, it is the last time I will have to do it.

"I't's one week until Halloween. Do you have plans?"

Looks like this year are going to a party. First time ever since we have been married.

"Thanksgiving is quickly approaching. How will you celebrate?"

Have the kids, DD1's boyfriend and probably DH's dad and step-mother over for dinner.

"Christmas is in two months! Have you given it much thought yet? Plans? Shopping? Favorite gift ideas? Menu?"

Have bought a few small practical gifts for the girls. Was actually going to e-mail them all today to see if they have any ideas on what they want. I do not want to spend my budget on a lot of small things and then find out they want a more costlier thing.

We started last year what I hope to be a tradition doing brunch for Christmas Day. It give the girls time to spend with us but the rest of the day for other plans. Last year we did breakfast tacos, I think this year we are doing pancakes/waffles. Proably just the girls and DD1's boyfriend.

Christmas brunch sounds like a nice idea. I could get behind that. So you have breakfast together, exchange gifts and that's it?
