Wow, Terry, looks like you have a good supply! Planning on doing a grocery exile w/all that?

I keep a running inventory of my pantry & freezer. I'm pretty well set for awhile and have been trying to keep my grocery lists to a minimum by planning meals w/what is already on hand. I have a great supply of canned/nonperishable items as well as some meat in the freezer thanks to the generosity of dh's union. (They had a thing going for awhile for laid-off members.)

I need to do a grocery exile.  Since the beginning of school I have been just too busy to shop much and we lived off the stockpile.  I am so thankful that we had the stockpile but I will admit, the last couple weks we had only lima beans for veggies and applesauce for fruit.  Not proud of that, but we're all still here ;-)

Last weekend I finally had time and money enough to go to the grocey outlet I love and get some stuff as well as take advantage of a geat sale on pork at the groceyr store this weekend.  There are still many thing I am trying to stock up on but am not able to find at a good price (perhaps with the economy I won't right now...).

Also, I decided to try a "Great Food For All" box (like Angel Food) where you buy a box for $30.  I had never done this and the church near our home was doing it.  I may try this one more time, bbut I am not at all impressed.  Everyone raves over how much food you get but with sales/coupons I can get MUCH more, and the quality is kind of junky IMO.  The ground beef is 73/27 (there as 2 pounds).  After I cook it it may be 1 pound left.  I never go below 80/20 and that's only for hamburgers.

Anyway, needless to say, after the box of food, a grocery outlet trip and the time to hit some grocery store sales finally, we have PLENTY of food in the house.  My menus are planned through November and we have a little more variety :-)

I need to do an inventory. We seem to need something every week, but I have random things that I have a ton of. Like 30 boxes of pasta LOL. Actually taking inventory was on my to do list for this week. We are cutting our budget to $50 a week for a couple of months to help pay for the washer/dryer we had to buy. I don't even want to go there on my blog, people were so sure we would go used. We couldn't find anything and i was a little uneasy about going that route anyway. I do have a ton of food and an inventory and 30 meal plan list will help me use what I have in the best way. Thanks for further inspiration!
