I've been wanting to do a couple of hours of baking since we've been having cooler weather. But w/all the subbing I've been doing (4 days/week both this week & last!) I haven't had time.
Finally have some time this weekend w/dh and 11yo ds gone on a Boy Scout campout. They are doing a Teen Cert training; it's a training for emergency preparedness plus they earn 4 merit badges while doing it. Plus 18yo ds is home for the weekend and I want to send a few homemade goodies back w/him. So I've been busy this morning. So far I've done apple crisp, pumpkin choc. chip muffins, toffee bars and banana bread. I also mixed up a batch of choc. chip cookies and will bake those tonight along w/some poppy seed bread when I have the oven going for dinner.
Anyone else done a "BakeFest" lately?
