Yes I have been thinking about Christmas. I told my kids I needed a list because not really sure what to get them. I was going to get dd a small laptop because I think it will help her with school, she's ADHD. I decided to get that for her birthday though which is in December. I will be ordering gift cards from swagbucks and mypoints soon.
My dh and I are thinking about just buying us a freezer,it will really help I just have the one above the frig.
Last year dh went to the Mattel outlet in Laredo Texas and picked me up quite a few things for all the kids. I already told him he needed to start stopping in there again when he gets down there.

Yes I think about it every time I spot my Christmas Club check on my bureau.  Ive got the budget now I need the lists, Ive been thinking alot about different ideas too.  I will cash the check one of these days when Im actually ready to buy something.

I just bought an early Christmas present for myself - tickets to see Miranda Lambert - locally, free parking, goin with my dd & a friend.  A night out for MOM, now thats a great present LOL.

Im doing the cookie swap again this year with family and friends, I did the first one last year and we had a lot of fun and everyone was pleased with the results, I already have my grab gift for that set aside.

What only 3 of us that have been thinking of Christmas? I find that hard to believe, lol!! What about the rest of you???  :-)

Surprisingly, I am about done w/Christmas shopping for my own kids.

26ds will be getting money. He's coming at Thanksgiving instead of Christmas this year, so $$ is the easiest to send him and that is what he'd rather have. 23dd will be getting a Discover gc--no $$ out of my pocket since I have enough cash-back bonus to cover the amount we normally spend.  (She'll also be getting a little care package for her cat--treats/food I've gotten free after coupons.) These oldest 2 are out on their own and really just prefer to have money.

I'm already finished w/11ds. Just one gift each left to buy for 13ds and 18ds. I know what I'm getting. Just watching sales now to get the best deal.

Not sure what dh & I are doing yet as far as gifts for each other. Probably just small stuff that we need--clothes for the most part. I also still need to get something for my mom and for my granma. Dh's side is down to only doing a name draw for kids under 16, so 2 gifts to buy once they ever get around to drawing names. I also still need to decide what to do for teachers this year.

We will probably end up spending about the same as last year, which was down from 2007. (Dh is still out of work, getting UE and some side jobs periodically.) I did some extra work back in Aug. at the Y and set that $$ aside for Christmas; that really should cover our gift expenses.

It will be interesting to see our total after the holidays since some of the gifts are bigger (read that more expensive!) items. I'm hoping that the smaller things that I've bought on sale or got for free will even that out.

I have a Thanksgiving baby and that always messes with my planning! For those of you planning your families... no November or December babies.  I always feel like I have to get through his birthday first before I can do my Christmas shopping.

We have a bunch of $10 swap gifts we have to get so I should put some thought into that. I don't have any concrete ideas for the kids yet, but lots of thoughts floating around.

Last year I made lots of homemade fabric gift bags to use for wrapping and I think I'll do the same again. A gift within a gift.  I have been saving interesting fabrics all year.. things I would have given to Salvation army or tossed. I should get started on that now.

It stresses me out though. I did plan ds' birthday though so that always helps me focus.
